Kaveh Faraji Najarkolaie

Kaveh

Kaveh got his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in structural engineering. Before attending the University of Maryland, his research was mainly related to the finite element modeling of structures. Since beginning his Ph.D. studies, he has been involved in multiple projects that primarily focus on using geospatial analysis and data science to study the effects of natural hazards.

His projects include investigating potential effects of sea-level rise and flood on contaminated sites, identifying vulnerable communities to pandemics, and using machine learning for storm surge prediction.
